My latest muse, my cousin.
I’ve been inspired to create something for the past few days, but something’s holding me back. I am not sure if it’s me being a perfectionist kicking in or, I just lack the determination to make my ideas into a reality. I’ve been like this ever since I can remember. Having all sort of ideas, inspiration– overflowing creative juice as one might say. But I just can’t quite put it into the 3D world. Or is it 4D? Whichever, I’m making myself confused. As an artist, this is my constant problem. Having great ideas is nothing if you can’t execute it. I’m quite sure that I’m not the only one who has a problem like this. Molly, an Irish artist whom I met on Couchsurfing, suffers from this as well. Although, he’s making more progress than me, for sure.
She nagged me to a have a photo shoot. And I’m glad I agreed.
We started our correspondence late last year through mail art. And we still contact each other through social networking sites. He’s been really helpful to me and to my art. I guess, it’s because he understands what I’m going through. We usually encourage each other to create and do more art. And, I thank him for his constant nagging about it because I need it. Else, I might not even have this blog right now.
Our shoot made me inspired to create. And you can bet that you’ll see her face more in my upcoming paintings and/or drawings.

Often times, we have our down moments more than our ‘up’ moments. And in times like those, we need someone to push us to do more, make more. If you don’t have that person yet, just listen to Neil Gaiman. I am sure you’ll be inspired to create. You can watch his brilliant speech on this video animation.
So, what are you waiting for? Go ahead and,
“Make good art.”
